Villupaattu – Folk art – Promoting safe sanitation practices – Video

Villupaattu is one of the folk art medium of southern Tamilnadu and is also on the verge of disappearing from of arts. This is widely accepted - still less practiced art form due to commercial cinema, TV, etc. LEAF Society has used this – folk art medium to spread the message of safe sanitation and drinking water practices among rural and tribal communities. This format has songs, dialogues, questions & answers, messages and mostly comedies. This video is one of the highly successful products of LEAF Society and this is also available in the DVD of LEAF.
